Obituary for Louise Boucheron

Louise Boucheron, age 89 of Coatesville, PA, originally from Syracuse, NY and formerly from Zepherhills, FL passed away on Sunday, September 2 surrounded by family. Louise was the daughter of the late George and Loretta Maloney Klamm and the wife of, first, the late George Pickard and then, the late Jean Boucheron. Brother Edmund ‘Ted’ Klamm and sisters Jeanne Kibbe, Margaret ‘Peggy’ Fenner and Lois ‘Garbo’ Klamm, Louise’s twin, preceded her in death. She is survived by her children: Don (Lisa) Pickard of Brighton, UT; Susan (Daniel) Statler of Coatesville; Jane (Mike) Stull of Pittsburgh; Mike (Margaret) Pickard of Virginia Beach, VA; Phyllis Pickard of Sterling, VA; Joyce (Bill Mahony) Boucheron of Durham, NC; and Steve (Linda) Boucheron of Rome, NY; 10 Grandchildren and 4 Great-grandchildren; and her sister, Kay Rea of Syracuse, NY plus many nieces and nephews.

Louise was the secretary and treasurer of her first husband’s contracting company for many years while raising 5 active children. She also earned her private pilot’s license, enjoyed arts and craft, particularly painting with water colors plus playing games with friends and family, dancing and travel. Volunteering, participating on committees or simply lending a shoulder to lean on was always a top priority. She will be remembered for her positive attitude, quickness to smile, inquisitive mind, creative nature and kind heart. The Catholic Church also played a central role in Louise’s life. She was a member of Saint Peter Church, West Brandywine.

All are welcomed to join Louise’s family on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 10am at Freedom Village Auditorium 15 Freedom Blvd., West Brandywine for a Celebration of Louise’s life or for her funeral mass Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 11am at St. Peter Church 2835 Manor Road, West Brandywine.

Louise’s family will also have a memorial mass at St. Patrick Church 216 N Lowell Ave, Syracuse, NY 13204 followed by interment in Collamer Cemetery, East Syracuse, NY at a later date.

Memorials in Louise’s honor may be made to Saint Peter Church, 2835 Manor Road, West Brandywine, PA or to Chester County Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired 71 South 1st Avenue, Coatesville, PA 19320.
