Obituary for Roy Anthony Marge

Roy Anthony Marge, 59, of Wilmington passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at his favorite place, his beach house.

Born in Wilmington, he was the son of Ruth Ann Bullock Marge and the late Donald Roy Marge and the husband of Susan Taylor Shustack Marge.

Roy was a 1976 graduate from Claymont High School, where he was a star athlete in Football and Wrestling. He attended University of Delaware.

He is retired and worked for many companies as a Chemical Operator most recently with DuPont.

Roy was a Past Master of Brandywine Lodge #33 AF&AM.

Roy was happiest when he was spending time with his family and friends, especially at the beach and on his boat fishing and crabbing.

In addition to his wife, Susan and his mother, Ruth and her companion Bill McCracken, Roy is survived by his four daughters: Eileen Marge, Catherine Marge, Emily Kountourzis and her husband, Adam and Molly Shustack; one grandson, Mason Kountourzis; and his two sisters: Donata Hackman and her husband, Chuck and Mary Bush and her husband, Mike and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Roy was predeceased by his infant son, Roy Anthony Marge, Jr.

Roy’s memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 12 noon at Claymont Fire Hall Ballroom 3223 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE. There will be a Masonic Service beginning at 11:45am. There will be a visitation from 10am to 11:45.

Memorials in Roy’s honor may be made to Brandywine Lodge #33 AF&AM 2016 Foulk Road, Wilmington, DE 19810 or to American Heart Association 200 Continental Dr # 101, Newark, DE 19713.
